3D Ghosts in the Graveyard
Review by on
When Halloween comes around, you decorate your home and your lawn and your porch, assuming you have on, don’t you? If you also want to decorate your Windows-powered PC or your Mac OS X-powered Mac, Unique 3D Digital has plenty of spooky screensavers to offer. One such screensaver is the aptly named 3D Ghosts in the Graveyard.

Here is what it displays:
- A static image of a shady, tree-lined cemetery.
- Animated ghosts and other spooky items. Two ghosts sit in the entrance of their crypts, a skeleton is pacing above a grave, and a half-naked ghost is…I don’t know what it’s doing way in the back. A ghost appears from time to time and floats around. Various spooky items float around as well.

By spooky items I mean bats, bones, skulls, bones and skulls, candles, and small ghosts. From the Setting menu, the Extra Animations submenu you can see what sort of spooky items you want to float around. You can select to only see bones for example, or you can select the “Mixed” option and all the aforementioned spooky items will float around. You can also select the number, size, and speed of the floating items.

While the screensaver is running it plays spooky music in the background. If you don’t like the music, there are two things you can do about it:
1. Mute it. In the Sound submenu there’s a volume slider. Move it all the way to the left to mute the sound.
2. Change the music. Click the “Change to Your Music” button from the Sounds submenu you can will be presented with instructions on how you can get the screensaver to play your own music.

There are three more settings you can play with: you can adjust the brightness and tint, and you can set the time of day.

I mentioned above that 3D Ghosts in the Graveyard is just one of the Unique 3D Digital-offered screensavers you cold get to spook up your computer. Here are a few others:
  • 3D Jeepers Creepers – displays a creepy sewer with mist and a disgusting green sludge and some creepy 6-armed creatures.
  • 3D Spectre – a skull with glowing eyes comes out of the fire and towards you.
  • 3D Dancing Skeleton – as its name so adequately points out, this screensaver displays a skeleton busting a move on your desktop.
  • Old Fashioned Halloween Slide Show – displays vintage Halloween-related images on your monitor; it is a classic slideshow screensaver.
  • 3D Monster Smiley Guys – a mummy smiley, a devil smiley, a zombie smiley, a witch smiley, and many others fly around on your monitor.
  • 3D Halloween Christmas – this screensaver displays a dancing skeleton dressed like Santa, a snowman made out of pumpkins, and various spooky items falling from above.
  • 3D Jack-O-Screamer – the doors open and screaming Jack-O-Lanterns fly towards you.
  • 3D Jack-O-Lanterns – colorful Jack-O-Lanterns float around on your desktop.
  • 3D Haunted Dungeon – the spooky doors swing open and you will see a dancing skeleton, ghosts, and bats flying around.
  • 3D Things That Go Bump in the Night – a skull with glowing green eyes, a witch’s hat and a witch’s broom, ghosts, and other spooky stuff floats around on the desktop.
